§ 8-105. Rental or leasing license required; fees.

  • (a)

    No person shall rent or lease, or offer to rent or lease, a dwelling unit, apartment or a room within a dwelling arranged to provide lodging until either a temporary or annual license for such rental or leasing has been issued by the zoning and building inspector, or his designee, for the premises being offered for rent or lease.

    (b)

    There shall be, however, no registration fee charged for the calendar year in which a dwelling unit is constructed and a certificate of occupancy issued by the building department. Thereafter, all applicable fees under this article shall be due and payable.
