§ 8-48. Adoption.

(a)

The 2012 International Property Maintenance Code, published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted by reference. References in the 2012 International Property Maintenance Code to "state" shall mean the State of Michigan; references to "municipalities" shall mean the village; references to "local ordinances" shall mean the village ordinances.

(b)

The same hereby is adopted respectively as the Property Maintenance Code of the Village of St. Charles, County of Saginaw, State of Michigan, for regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings and/or structures in the village, providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, providing penalties for violating such codes.
