§ 36-142. Operating locations.

  • An ORV may be operated on the far right of the maintained portion of a public road within the village on major, local, and State Highway M-52 from North Street to Walnut Street and from Pine Street to Water Street for the sole purpose of crossing the rivers only. An ORV may be operated on the far right side of the maintained portion of a public road within the village. In regard to State Highway M-52, an ORV may be driven only from North Street to Walnut Street from the north or from Pine Street to Water Street from the south for the sole purpose of crossing the rivers. A person shall not operate an ORV on the roadway, shoulder or right-of-way of any highway, except on specific segments of highway that are posted open, and have been authorized by the Michigan Department of Transportation pursuant to 1994 PA 451, as amended, being MCL 324.81101 and 324.81131.
