§ 2-40. Compensation of certain officers.

The village president shall receive a sum of $50.00, and the trustees shall each receive a sum of $40.00 for each meeting of the village council attended, for up to 24 meetings per year. In no case shall the president or any trustee receive compensation for any meeting not actually attended. Except as otherwise provided by law, these officers shall receive no other compensation for services performed for, and on behalf of, the village during the term of their office. Except as otherwise provided by law regulating fees for services, other officers shall receive such compensation as may be prescribed by the council.
