§ 22-19. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Area park commission means the commission consisting of several members appointed by the village council to operate and regulate village public park property. All contracts or regulations must be approved by the village council to become effective.

Director means a person immediately in charge of any park area and its activities, and to whom all park attendants of such area are responsible.

Park means any part of any designated village park.

Vehicle means any conveyance, whether motor-powered, animal-drawn or self-propelled, whether on wheels, tracks, pontoons or runners, and designed to transport a person or persons. Exception is made for baby carriages and vehicles in the service of the village.
