§ 18-47. Appointment; duties.

The police chief is hereby authorized and directed to appoint special officers, to be known as civilian crossing guards, in such numbers as he may deem necessary, to perform police duties under the direction of and in compliance with such rules and regulations as the police chief shall promulgate.
