§ 16-19. Adoption of NFPA 1, Fire Code.

  • (a)

    The NFPA 1, Fire Code, published by the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted by reference. References in NFPA 1, Fire Code to "the state" shall mean the State of Michigan; references to "municipalities" shall mean the village; references to "local ordinance" shall mean the village ordinances.

    (b)

    The same hereby is adopted respectively as the Fire Code of the Village of St. Charles, County of Saginaw, State of Michigan, for regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings and/or structures in the village, providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, providing penalties for violating such codes.
