§ 10-1. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Business means any trade, occupation, profession, work, commerce or other activity owned or operated for profit by any person within the village, excluding, however, political, charitable or religious establishments.

Licensing agent means the village clerk, or such other village official or employee as may be designated by the village council.
